Grants/Funding

The German Federal Agency for Nature Conservation (BfN) implements and administers a number of government nature conservation funding programmes and budget headings:

Testing and development projects serve to put promising conservation ideas and key research findings into practice, and to test and refine new methods and procedures in nature conservation

 Testing and development projects

Large-scale conservation projects are carried out to preserve natural landscapes and to safeguard and develop cultural landscapes featuring outstanding habitats for plant and animal species needing protection. The funding programme provides support for nationally important landscapes as a contribution towards preserving Germany's natural heritage and to fulfilling supranational conservation obligations.
