In July 2009 the International Risk Governance Council  (IRGC) published a Concept Note "Risk Governance of Pollination Services" to provide background on pollination services, evaluate the risks related to the loss of these services, and identify the relevant governance deficits in this field.

(IRGC) is an independent organisation whose purpose is to help the understanding and management of emerging global risks that have impacts on human health and safety, the environment, the economy and society at large.
