  • Issue of permits for the release of animal species not yet occurring within the boundaries of the national territory (according Article 40 (5) BNatSchG); issue of permits for the release in the EEZ (according Article 40 (4); issue of permits for the use of animals in the EEZ according the EU Aquaculture regulation
  • Developing concepts and strategies for human activities on animal populations and for the sustainable use of animal species.
  • Technical maintenance and further development of fauna information systems and update of taxonomic checklists of animal species occurring in Germany
