- • General and fundamental issues relating to habitat conservation and landscape ecology
- • Issues relating to the classification, endangerment, assessment, conservation and development of habitat types and complexes, including conceptual work on the ecological network
- • Issues relating to the identification, definition, classification, endangerment, assessment, conservation and promoting the development of landscapes, including the development of model, future-oriented management strategies
- • Matters relating to protected areas and habitats at national level, primarily focusing on large-scale protected areas (national parks, biosphere reserves and nature parks), including the ongoing development of national and international protected area instruments
- • Matters relating to national and international protected area projects under the Federal Government and the European Union; coordinating national implementation of the Habitats Directive and the Birds Directive
