  • • Matters relating to protected areas and habitats at national level, primarily focusing on large-scale protected areas (national parks, biosphere reserves and nature parks), including the ongoing development of national and international protected area instruments
  • • Matters relating to national and international protected area projects under the Federal Government and the European Union; coordinating national implementation of the Habitats Directive and the Birds Directive
  • • National Natural Heritage (NNE)
