Berlin, 01.10.2017 A two-day alumni reunion brought together 66 current fellows and alumni of the Klaus Toepfer Fellowship Programme.

The meeting served to enable professional exchange and peer-coaching, as well as building new cooperations within the growing network. Trainings on change management and environmental psychology complemented this by bringing in new expert knowledge. The young leaders work in institutions dealing with nature conservation in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe, Caucaus and Central Asia.

The Klaus Toepfer Fellowship Programme aims at qualifying future decision-makers for highly demanding tasks in national and international conservation. Partners of the programme are IUCN, the World Conservation Monitoring Center (UNEP-WCMC), the Secretariat of the Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species (CMS) as well as the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD). The Klaus Töpfer Fellowship Programme is funded by the BMUB.
