This transdisciplinary workshop is held in the framework of the BfN-ZEF BioClimSocial project. It will bring together NbS experts from a diverse set of cultural, regional and scientific sectors to deliberate on the role of the "social dimension" in delivering meaningful and effective nature-based solutions (NbS), with a focus on addressing the biodiversity and climate crisis synergistically.
Workshop programm
The programme of the Peer exchange workshop on the Social Dimension of Nature-based Solutions (NbS) is determined by three overarching workshop aims:
- to exchange insights into the ongoing NbS research in project partner institutions and the salient features of each case in terms of stakeholder engagement and social impact,
- to create a draft outline of the Guideline for NbS researchers and practicioners, and to define how the research findings of these NbS case studies may contribute to the Guideline content,
- to foster future research opportunities amongst individual partners: to generate conceptual ideas and explore avenues for funding.
