The two-week study tour for IKS fellows in the fall of a funding year provides practical knowledge and management skills in the field of climate protection and climate-related resource conservation. The program for the 2026 study tour includes training sessions as well as site visits and excursions to various locations in Germany. The location on the island of Vilm was chosen for technical reasons and offers fellows a great opportunity to learn about climate adaptation, nature-based solutions, and nature conservation—as well as their practical application—thus bridging the gap to the theoretical knowledge and soft skills acquired during the first week.
