Cooperation between the Southeast Rügen Biosphere Reserve Office and the Federal Agency for Nature Conservation

For many conferences on Vilm, a guided tour of the island by employees of the Federal Agency for Nature Conservation is an integral part of the programme. On the approx. 3 km long circular route, not only the various coastal forms, but also a rich flora and fauna can be observed up close. The tour offers such delightful insights at any time of year that even experienced visitors look forward to it again and again.
To provide our guests with up-to-date information, experienced rangers Danny Witt and Falko Bindernagel from the administration of the Southeast Rügen Biosphere Reserve visited the island of Vilm on February 6th 2025. Employees from the International Academy for Nature Conservation, event management and various divisions of the Marine Nature Conservation Directorate braved the cold winter wind and set off with them to rediscover the island. It was particularly exciting not only to listen to the explanations, but also to exchange ideas about guiding lines and content and to learn from each other.
We would like to thank the administration of the Southeast Rügen Biosphere Reserve for making this productive exchange possible!
