Description
It can be concluded from the meeting and its underlying scoping study that almost three years after the entry into force of the Nagoya Protocol, the number of countries with functioning, clear and transparent access measures in place is still very limited. The ABS Dialogue 2017 thus came at the right time as it allowed advanced countries of ABS implementation to discuss their experiences with setting up and running an ABS system.
