Participants included representatives from embassies and nature conservation organizations. The BfN and the International Academy for Nature Conservation has been working closely with various partners for many years to promote the protection of migratory wild animal species in the region, such as the Saiga Antelope and the Asiatic Wild Ass. Uzbekistan has been impressively demonstrating its support for the protection of global biodiversity. The country hosted the Conference of the Parties to the CMS in February 2024 and will host the Conference of the Parties to the Washington Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES) in Samarkand from November 24 to December 5, 2025.
