The decisive criterion for the delimitation of this habitat type is the presence of vegetation of the syntaxa given above. Smaller stands of periodically flooded swards and other humid grassland vegetation may be included. Fallow stages which still contain part of the typical species suite are included as sites for maintenance/restoration.
