International Academy for Nature Conservation

The International Academy for Nature Conservation (INA) is part of a branch office of the German Federal Agency for Nature Conservation (BfN). The Academy and the central administration of the branch office Island of Vilm form the staff unit "International Academy for Nature Conservation, Administration of Vilm".

It provides a forum for the discussion and solution of national and international nature conservation issues. It is a place for debate among conservation experts and communication between the German Federal Government and the Länder (states). This makes it a centre for dialogue between representatives of many different fields, including: science and public administration, politicians and industry, associations and foundations.

On 30 July 2020 we will start conference operations in compliance with the Corona requirements. We have agreed a hygiene concept for the INA. Please ensure that the rules of distance are observed. Please also remember that in public areas and on the ferry to Vilm it is compulsory to wear a mouth nose covering mask. You will receive further information about your event and the hygiene regulations by e-mail. We are available for you by phone or e-mail.

Excursions to the Isle of Vilm are possible for a maximum of 20 people per tour, subject to the rules of distance and the wearing of a face mask. For any questions regarding touristic excursions, kindly contact the Fahrgastreederei Lenz (Phone: 038301-61896).
