The ‘Second Sino-German Workshop on Biodiversity Conservation’ was entitled ‘Management of Ecosystems and Protected Areas: Facing Climate Change and Land Use’. From March 30th to April 1st three topics were discussed at the BfN, Bonn: ‘Nature Conservation facing climate change and land use’, ‘Monitoring and Information Management’ and ‘Management of Protected Areas’.

The purpose of the workshop was to foster the scientific exchange of methodological approaches, research results, and experiences from the field.
This BfN-Script gives a detailed overview on the discussed issues and the major outcomes of the workshop. In addition to the introductory part it contains the presentations, the syntheses of the working groups, and some insights from the excursions that followed the workshop.
