Beschreibung
The main goal of the project was to analyze the potential risks opportunities of REDD+ for forest biodiversity conservation and to develop options for REDD+ implementation that promote synergies between the climate and biodiversity goals. By analyzing the developments at the international policy level, the national level as well as the project level, the report identifies the core challenges for the implementation of biodiversity safeguards and the generation of additional biodiversity benefits at and across the different but intricately linked governance levels.
